Like all things that are worthwhile, parenting takes hard work and dedication. New and unprepared parents can find themselves at a loss for words and actions when the child arrives and they truly realize that they are on their own. Children thrive and learn from your actions, so many new parents are unaware how much their everyday life effects their child, especially in the first three years of their life. New parents or parents that are currently pregnant should have to take parenting classes to understand how to cater to their children, without scaring them. Parenting classes can help you in the long run with understanding and then utilizing the first three years of life, dealing with relationships and divorce, and showing the common mistakes and postpartum depression that comes along with parenting. Many new parents are faced with deciding between traditional parenting, taught by their parents, or choosing to go to classes to learn new skills and decide on their own. I firmly beli eve, especially if your under 20, that parenting classes for new parents should be made mandatory not only by the state, but on a federal level. Early childhood care is the most important time and figuring out what type of parent you want to be is crucial to how your child is going to turn out.
